Half a century ago, the Supreme Court ruled in the United States v. Nixon that executive privilege is not absolute. In a unanimous decision, the Supreme Court in 1974 rejected Nixon’s argument – a ruling that marked the end of his presidency. But would the Supreme Court half a century later say the same? “It wouldn't shock me to find that the Supreme Court tries to avoid a showdown,” Geyh says. “One could see certain issues developing through the course of litigation that do present the type of constitutional question that the Supreme Court would take,” Geyh says.

The pieces stolen from the break-in at the Gruenes Gewoelbe (Green Vault) museum in Dresden contained more than 4,300 diamonds with an estimated value of more than 113 million euros. LONDON, Dec 7 (Reuters) - The last year will go down as one of the most seismic in the history of the British royal family with the death of Queen Elizabeth months after she celebrated her record seventh decade as monarch, but 2023 could prove almost as momentous. Elizabeth's success had been to guide the monarchy into the modern world, riding out the many crises that befell her family. Most damaging of all is the rift with Charles's younger son Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, who now live in California, and their criticism of the royal household. Harry and Meghan's interview with U.S. talk show host Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 rocked the institution and the royal family will be anxiously waiting to see if there are further damning revelations in the book. The major set piece event for the year will be King Charles's coronation - a solemn and religious event conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the spiritual head of the Anglican Communion.

Mark Zuckerberg said it's "really unclear" how the saga between Twitter and Elon Musk will play out. In 2022, Musk has gone from planning to buy Twitter to ditching it to offering to buy it again. "I think it's interesting as a saga, like you're saying, but I think even at this point, it's not actually clear what's going to happen," Zuckerberg added. Musk's Twitter saga is enough to give anyone whiplash. Musk's Twitter purchase could put him in direct competition with Zuckerberg, who has offered to buy Twitter in the past.
